Floral Workshops

Lead by Certified Florist, Shelley Da Silva,  we offer several floral design workshops aimed at individuals who would like to try their hands at floral design. Workshops are limited in size of 6 - 8 people to ensure individual attention. Workshop fees include: flowers/folliage, all supplies and the use of all necessary tools.  

All workshops are taught in our studio, workshops begin with a demonstration followed by hands on designing!!   At the end of the workshop you will be taking home your design(s).  No prior floral experience is required whatsoever, we will teach you everything you need to know.

Lisa & Jim - October 3, 2009

Lisa and Jim really wanted a full fall theme for their wedding.  We achieved this by using oranges, yellows, reds, browns and champagne colours. We also really wanted to authenticate this theme by adding fall elements such as apples, leaves, trees and twigs into the flowers and decor.  For the brides bouquet we used a beautiful combination of orange cymbidium orchids, roses, celosia, hypericum berries, gerbera daisies, and sunflowers lined by fall leaves and champagne ribbon detail on the handle.  We matched the grooms boutinniere by using an orange cymbidium orchid, yellow spray orchids and some greenery finished off with black ribbon and gold wiring.  The wedding reception was hosted at Pearson Convention Centre located in Brampton.  For the reception we went rich with colour by using a combination of champagne and chocolate brown fabric for the head table, cake table and backdrop.  We added crystal brooch and crystal candle details to add a touch of elegance to a loud fall theme.  Against the backdrop we created 6′ trees in which we added yellow/orange spray orchids to give the illusion of flower buds.  The centerpieces were spectacular, we filled tall cylinder vases with fresh picked orchard apples and topped it with a large arrangement full of sunflowers, roses, protea, wax flowers, twigs and leaves.  We added fall leaves all along the base of the head table and cake table as well as the receiving line tables for that added fall feel.  When you walked into this room, you knew it was fall!!!  Lisa and Jim fell in love with the look of their wedding and all their guests knew it was exactly what they wanted.

Monica & Dharmesh - August 8, 2009

Monica and Dharmesh represented Canada and multiculturalism at its finest!!  Monica being Portuguese and Dharmesh Hindu, they created a spectacular interfaith wedding full of tradition and honour to both families and their different traditions.  Wedding Wows providing the flowers and decor along with One of a Kind Weddings providing the Day of Coordination service, helped keep their long hectic day run smooth and enjoyable for everyone.  Their day started very early with a beautiful traditional Hindu ceremony hosted at the Versailles Convention Centre located in Mississauga. The bride and groom wore traditional outfits and the decor and flowers were in the traditional red for their hindu ceremony. From there, they changed and headed to St. George Parish located in Etobicoke for a traditional Catholic ceremony.  The bride and groom chose to switch the decor to pink, chocolate brown and ivory for the remaining of the wedding day.  The bride carried a beautiful white and pink calla lily bouquet.  She chose calla lilies because they reminded her of her grandmother who was really special to her heart.  For the catholic church ceremony we created a simple look by using ivory flower balls and ivory sashes hanging on everyother pew,  we also added a simple yet elegant look to the altar by placing large ivory peony flower balls on stands on either side of the altar.  Their wedding reception was also hosted at Versaille.  Thanks to our Wedding Coordinators and Decor setup staff, Versaille was transformed, from the hindu ceremony that was held there in the morning, to the beautiful evening reception decor that WOWed guests as they walked back into the same room they were in that same morning.  The head table and cake table were drapped in a soft pink rouched raw silk linen with crystal brooch details throughout.  The head table was lined with pink hydrangea arrangements and votive candles creating a very romantic feel.  The backdrop had a chocolate brown base with beautiful soft pink panels with crystal brooches to add some sparkle.  The centerpieces were simple yet elegent chocolate brown porcelain vases filled with pink hydrangeas, gerbera daisies and spray roses.  Lyndsay Alves along with the One of a Kind Weddings coordinating team were really able to ensure the day ran smoothly and together with RS Divas, Grenville Pinto and DJ Emporium were really able to ensure that all the guests including the Bride and Groom themselves ENJOYED themselves.

Anna & James - August 8, 2009

Anna and James wanted an elegant wedding using a pop of colour, we were able to achieve this by creating a flower and decor vision using a white, green, and purple colour scheme.  For the brides bouquet we used a beautiful combination of green cymbidium orchids, white roses and stephanotis along with crystals to really compliment the brides dress.  For the bridesmaids bouquets we used a combination of green cymbidium orchids and purple roses along with crystal accents to compliment the purple dresses the girls were wearing.  The reception was hosted at Grand Baccus Banquet Hall located in Scarborough.  The hall had a very neutral tone which allowed the greens and purples to really pop against the white tables and back drop.  For the head table and cake table we created a very elegant classy look by using white satin linens along with white sheer drapping and the added touch of crystal brooches.  For the backdrop we complimented the head table by using white sheer fabrics and crystal brooches which added a beautiful sparkle. The guest tables looked spectacular with the use of high and low centerpieces at everyother table.  The tall centerpieces had green and purple dendrobium orchids in a tall 32″ vase with a purple LED light to add a nice glow.  The low centerpiece was a 5×5 vase full of purple and green roses with a purple LED light submerged in water.  The use of the tall and low centerpieces really added dimension to such a large room without overpowering the room.  Elegance and class was definately a look we were able to achieve for Anna and James, they were such a fun couple to work with which is another reason why we love our job soooo much!!

Tasha & Eric - July 24, 2009

Tasha and Eric got married on July 24, 2009.  They chose a gorgeous soft pink, white and silver colour scheme for their wedding. We used a variety of flowers in different shades of pink for the bouquets and added a touch of elegence by using crystals in the flowers and along the handles. They had a beautiful intimate ceremony in the garden area of their condo in Oakville. We created a gorgeous ceremony design for them by using soft pink roses and white hydrangeas to line their aisle along with white sheer fabric draping and 2 large arrangements to frame them while standing up and saying their vows.  The flower arrangements created for their ceremony were then transfered to their head table at their reception venue, The Old Mill Inn & Spa located in Toronto.  The aisle arrangements lined their sweetheart head table along with the added touch of silver candle holders that varied in height, a rouched white raw silk table linen and a white sheer backdrop with hanging crystals, created a beautiful and romatic look for the bride and groom.  We added the large ceremony arrangements on stands to either side of the backdrop which framed the bride and grooms table.  Silver Chiavari chairs along with soft pink satin linens topped with a silver jewelled overlay WOWed their guests as they entered the room.  We placed soft pink satin napkins, folded in a rectangle, tied with a ribbon and crystal brooch, on top of silver charger plates.  To finish off the look we created beautiful low centerpieces with white hydrangeas and soft pink roses, added an LED light submerged in the vase with water to create a soft glow and wrapped the vase is a sheer silver ribbon.  We also added votive candles around the entire room to add to the romantic and intimate feel to the wedding.  This wedding was all about the small details, and we are sooooo happy to have been able to create the exact vision that the bride and groom were looking for.  Here is what the bride and groom had to say:
