With over eight years of experience, Shelley Da Silva has planned events of all sizes, ranging from intimate events to lavish celebrations with over 500 guests.

Shelley possesses a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services with a specialization in Special Events from Humber College, Events and Meeting Management diploma from George Brown College and is a certified Wedding Coordinator with the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.  With years of event planning experience under her belt, a creative eye and thirst for design, Shelley also completed her certification and has become a Floral and Décor Designer.  Understanding that knowledge is power Shelley continually attends courses, conferences and workshops to learn the newest trends and techniques.

Shelley began her career in the events industry as a consultant in a local floral boutique. She then moved on to creating community events within the City of Toronto, Parks and Recreation and Election Services departments. Moving from community events Shelley moved into a Special Events Coordinator position for a reputable resort in the Muskoka area.  In this position she planned many weddings, conferences, retreats and recreational events. Moving back to the city, Shelley quickly obtained an event coordinator position within a reputable hotel. Shelley has also volunteered her time to many charities by helping plan and create many successful fundraising events.

With so many years of event planning experience, it was only natural Shelley decided to create Wedding Wows. After three years of operation Shelley has built a company that started as a solely planning firm and now expanded into providing many other services such as flowers, décor, and limos.  With the need to expand further, Shelly Da Silva and the owner of One of a Kind Weddings & Events, Sonia Gonzalez, decided to merge together and create Creative Style Event Design Inc.

Lead Wedding Planner

With over seven years of experience in the bridal industry, ranging from wedding photography right down to bridal apparel, you can be confident that Sonia Gonzalez has the expertise, creativity, and resources to help you plan your special event.

After graduating from Humber with a diploma in Creative Photography, Sonia jumped into the industry as a freelance wedding photographer. After a few years of documenting weddings, Sonia moved on to serving as a Sales Consultant for a reputable DJ company. Feeling the need to become more involved with brides, Sonia then moved on to become a consultant in a bridal salon.  With an extreme ability to learn, she quickly moved into a management position within the Canadian head office for a large bridal wear manufacturer. Within her management position, her main duty was to create exciting events for all her national buyers and sales reps, this began her thirst for the event industry. Sonia quickly obtained a Certificate in Event Management from Humber College and Certification in Wedding Coordination through The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.

One of a Kind Weddings & Events was then born.  With a great attention to detail and the ability to orchestrate any wedding or event to the clients taste, enabled Sonia’s company to rise quickly. During this time Sonia met Shelley Da Silva and an instant bond was created. After three successful years Sonia and Shelley decided to join forces and create Creative Style Event Design Inc..

Lyndsay Alves
Wedding Coordinator

Lyndsay has over 6 years experience in the sales and marketing industry.  Her love for the events industry started by planning promotional events for her local Fitness facility, with her experience and knowledge expanding into planning and coordinating corporate conferences.

Although Lyndsay has a passion for planning events her love for weddings didn't start until she started planning her own wedding. Her enthusiasm, excitement and attention to details will surely surpass your expectations. You can count on her to treat your wedding with the same amount of focus as her own. Being both a Bride, and a Coordinator has taught her to be prepared for any situation, always be one step ahead and have a solution to every challenge.

Shalini Misir, WPICC
Wedding Coordinator

Shalini has been a lead coordinator with Wedding Wows and One of a Kind Weddings for the past year, creating each event with professionalism, vigour and enthusiasm. Shalini got into the event coordination industry by organizing a variety of events from graduation celebrations to charity galas for the past few years. Her first experience with coordinating weddings was by planning her very own, two-day Indian affair.

Shalini has acquired her Certification through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada as well as in Event Management at Humber College. Shalini takes great pride in helping couples plan their special day, and with her attention to detail and work ethic she will ensure that it will be a smooth and memorable one.

Linda Gonzalez
Floral Designer/ Wedding Assistant

Linda Gonzalez always had a thirst for design.  After taking floral design courses and working within the wedding industry with her daughter, Linda has become an integral part of our team and has realized her passion could be fulfilled with floral design.  Linda brings her hard work ethic and creative design ideas to every wedding and event we design.
